ShelterBox – which is currently working in Haiti and Mosul – provides emergency disaster relief and shelter to families in some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places that have been devastated by natural disaster and political conflict.
The charity is launching a winter fundraising campaign called Shine for ShelterBox, which is all about people getting together with friends and family to hold candlelit winter feasts and raise funds to brighten lives around the world. To request a fundraising pack visit www.shelterbox.org/shine.
A number of high profile chefs, including Dan Doherty and Vivek Singh, have supplied recipes to help inspire people to run their own feast night at home. In addition, a number of venues have agreed to host special pop-up ‘Shine feast nights’. For information on recipes or events visit
