Eurostar and world-renowned Chef Patron, Raymond Blanc OBE, have launched new winter menus for Eurostar’s Business Premier passengers complete with Europe’s first high-speed Afternoon Tea, which will be served between 14.00 and 17.30 and feature traditional cake as well as classic English scones from Raymond Blanc’s own recipe, served with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

In addition to the classic British scones, cakes and teas, Eurostar’s Business Premier passengers will be able choose up to three hot and cold light savoury dishes. The savoury options have a European flavour and include dishes like vegetarian lasagne, mushroom risotto and poached hot smoked salmon.

MyFerryLink has joined forces with nearly 70 shops, restaurants, brasseries and hotels in Calais and the surrounding area to give shoppers travelling to France a huge array of festive offers.

Passengers sailing to France between now and 15 January 2014 with MyFerryLink can get a 10% discount in nearly 70 stores and restaurants such as La Maison des Vins et du Fromage delicatessen, La Fontaine des Fées gift shop and the popular Au Côte d'Argent restaurant. There are also exclusive offers at Calais Vins and Franglais Vins wine warehouses and at two hotels; the stylish Hotel Meurice in Calais and, further afield, the luxurious four star Grand Hotel in Le Touquet.

What’s more, travellers spending over £70 in the MyFerryLink onboard boutique will be given a gift of a bottle of sparkling wine or a box of French chocolates.

MyFerryLink operates 16 daily crossings on the Dover-Calais route. Fares for a car and up to nine passengers start from £29 for a day return (24 hours) and from £38 for a three day return (72 hours). Other fare offers are available.

LD Lines has announced the introduction of a new UK to Spain service between Poole (Dorset) and Santander in Northern Spain.

Complementing LD Lines’ existing France to Spain route between Saint Nazaire, south of Brittany and Gijón in Northern Spain, the service represents a major development to the company’s creation of an Atlantic ferry network, providing new links to serve the UK, French, Spanish and Portuguese freight and tourist markets and making regions such as the Algarve within easier reach for UK motorists.

Dorset-based ferry operator, Condor Ferries has launched its 2014/15 sailing schedule offering sailings right through until 24 March 2015, allowing guests to book journeys from the UK to the Channel Islands and France up to 16 months in advance.

Guests travelling on the fast ferries will be able to take advantage of a choice of sailings from both Weymouth and Poole to Guernsey, Jersey and connecting services through to St Malo in France.

Customers will also benefit from ever-popular day trips from both UK ports to Guernsey, allowing guests to experience a taste of the Channel Islands, as well as take advantage of duty free shopping on board.

Malaysia Airlines has partnered with chef Richard Corrigan, one of the UK and Ireland’s most esteemed chefs and restaurateurs, to create and launch a limited edition in-flight menu from February 2014. Richard Corrigan’s signature menu will sit alongside the traditional Malaysian menu and be available to First and Business Class passengers flying on Malaysia Airlines’ double daily A380 service from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Jet2 has announced new weekly flights between Edinburgh and Pula, Croatia and increased the number of flights from Manchester to Pula starting from May 2014.

TAP Portugal now offers 15 flights a week from the UK to the Cape Verde Islands, via Lisbon, with the Boa Vista route joining an already extensive weekly schedule including six flights to Sal, five to Santiago / Praia and two to Sao Vicente. The new route will also further expand TAP’s existing connections, via Lisbon, to 75 destinations in 35 countries worldwide including Africa and North and South America.

Commencing 30 March 2014, BA will fly from London Gatwick to Malta International Airport with daily direct flights.

BA is also increasing its number of departures between London Gatwick and Dubrovnik.

Norwegian Air has announced it will launch new routes from London Gatwick to New York, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale from July 2014. Two weekly flights will operate between LGW and LAX and between LGW and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) while three weekly flights will operate between LGW and JFK. Introductory fares start at £149 one way to New York, £179 one way to Fort Lauderdale and £199 one way to Los Angeles.

Norwegian Air is also increasing its number of departures between London Gatwick and Dubrovnik.
