It’s been somewhat busy here in Doha – what with finding somewhere to live and moving in. We have struck lucky with a super townhouse apartment on The Pearl, which is an amazing man-made ‘island’ off shore (similar to The Palm in Dubai).
I have to pinch myself every day!!!! There are lovely restaurants (Mango Tree, Carluccio’s, The Noodle House, plus Lebanese, Japanese, Lebanese-Armenian….), cafes and designer shops like you would not believe. There is also a great little supermarket called Spinney’s, which you may have heard of (I hadn’t) which served immediate needs without venturing back ‘on shore’. The great thing about living on this ‘French Riviera’ here in the Middle East is that there is a boardwalk around which you can walk freely, with a greater freedom in clothing etc and I do love to walk!
