Snacking with Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s has launched a new healthy snacking range that includes individual bags, sharing bags and Indulgent pots – perfect for snacking on the go.

Comprising six varieties, by Sainsbury’s Indulgent Pots contain 75% dried fruit, nuts and seeds, with 25% added treats. The range includes Very Berry (cranberries, cherries, yogurt coated raisins & almonds), Tropicocoa (pineapple, orange cranberries, chocolate & pumpkin seeds), Nutty Delight (cranberries, yogurt coated raisins, cashews & pistachios), Banoffee (dates, pecan nuts, dried banana & chocolate coated toffee balls), Berry Shortcake (crimson raisins, white chocolate coated shortcake, strawberries & blueberries) and Custard Bakewell (cherries, almonds & custard raisins). Each pot is around 200 calories.

The by Sainsbury’s Individual Snacking Bags range includes Almond Medley; Fruit & Honey Seeds; Jumbo Raisins & Cranberries; Toasted Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds; Mango; Apricots; Tiny Brazil Nuts; Cashews and Pistachios. The fruit lines count towards one of the 5-a-day.

Sharing packs have also been introduced to the range including Taste the Difference Lime Infused Mango and Morello Cherries with Toasted Marcona Almonds & Pumpkin Seeds. The by Sainsbury’s offering includes a Date & Pecan Mix, Almond Medley and Fruity Almond Crunch which includes cranberries, cherries, jumbo raisins, almonds, pumpkin seeds and toasted almond slices.

We loved them. The neat packaging makes them great for school lunch boxes, popping into handbags or brief cases and even into suitcases. We also keep some in the kitchen now for handy nibbling with a glass of something or as a sweet treat with cup of tea.
