A Sourcebook of the World’s Best Designs
Essential Equipment for the Kitchen may not sound too inspiring a title, but in fact it is a fascinating book.
The book, as it says on the cover, is ‘for anyone who cares about good design on a daily basis’.
The list and images of equipment that authors Charlotte and Peter Fiell have included is huge (over 300 items in fact), and ranges from beautiful, stylish tableware to refrigerators, kettles to cooker hobs, wooden spoons to mixers and from basic to fancy. Our favourite section – and it was a tough decision – the teapots, from the elegant Helena tea set of 2007 to the friendly and comforting Brown Betty of the 1680s-1840s.
Do be warned though, once you pick up and open this book, you will not want to put it down.
