Book Review – ‘The Taste of Portugal’ cookbook

Containing more than 270 recipes, this book has been hailed as a must-read for those interested in Portuguese cuisine.

Originally published in 1989, the book is now in its 5th edition and includes details of national folklore, quotes from Portuguese authors and historical curiosities. Readers can also find a chapter regarding Portuguese wines. The author, Edite Vieira, was born in Portugal but moved to the UK in the 1960’s where she worked for the BBC as a radio journalist and programme announcer in Portuguese.
