Dresden Festival Orchestra’s DREAMSTAGE debut

Concert takes place 12 September 2020

In spite of the coronavirus-induced cancellation of the 2020 Dresden Music Festival, the Dresden Festival Orchestra conducted by Josep Caballé Domenech will celebrate Beethoven Year 2020 with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphonies No 1 and 2 on 12 September 2020.

The concert will be broadcast live from the Löwensaal in Dresden, at 8 pm CET, via the streaming platform Dreamstage making the unique sound of the Dresden Festival Orchestra accessible to a global audience for the first time.

The evening is a threefold premiere for the orchestra: the musicians will inaugurate a new venue for the Dresden Music Festival with the Löwensaal in the heart of Dresden; perform in a live stream concert for the very first time; and give the first concert featuring a full orchestra, which will be streamed globally by the new platform

The evening’s host will be Holger Wemhoff, chief presenter of Klassik Radio.
