Spectacular Sicilian Aeolian islands
The six night tours take in the spectacular volcanic islands of Vulcano and Stromboli, the UNESCO World Heritage island of Salina and the glamorous islands of Lipari and Panarea.
Each of the islands offer different onshore and offshore experiences including tours, onshore restaurant bookings and two exclusive private vineyard visits to the Tasca d’Almerita in Salina and the Tenuta di Castellaro in Lipari.
The vineyards
Since 1830 eight generations of the Tasca d’Almerita family have cared for and cultivated land in Sicily and have become such a leading force in the global wine industry that they have recently been named 2019 European Winery of the year by Wine Enthusiast.
The organic wines of Tenuta di Castellaro are born from the selection of the healthiest and oldest native vines of the Aeolian Islands (in particular Corinto Nero and Malvasia delle Lipari), producing exquisite blends.
Both vineyards adhere to the highest standards of sustainable winemaking and guests will learn of the influence of the wind, volcanic ash and the sea on the creation of these wines.
Five state of the art catamarans
With the first departure on 29 August 2020 from Capo d’Orlando Marina on the North Sicilian coast and running for five consecutive weeks, guests will set sail in a flotilla of five state-of-the-art catamarans sleeping either up to six or eight people.
Prices start from £3,885 per person based on two sharing a cabin on a Lagoon 42 Catamaran and includes six nights’ accommodation on board the catamaran, skipper, on board hostess and chef, minimum of half board with a combination of restaurant and on board meals, wide selection of still and sparkling wines and soft drinks, two vineyard trips and other shore activities throughout the week.
