Whenever we are in Warwickshire, near Southam, we make a point of having a meal at the outstanding Butchers Arms run by a delightful Portuguese family.
The welcome is always warm and if they learn it is a special occasion they pull out even more stops to make it even more celebratory. The food has always been excellent – they don’t bat an eyelid at our request for one ‘wheat-free’ meal – and the service is friendly and efficient. We love it there. J&J.H.
