Aggie Arts offers a full range of art and craft courses and short breaks on the stunning Cornish coast in UNESCO heritage site St Agnes. Courses also include Cornish pasty making, brewery and beer tasting and wine and spirit tasting.
Cornish Pasty Making: Under the guidance of Giles Docking, St Agnes’ champion pasty maker learn about the folklore of pasties; watch a demonstration; make a pasty and eat it! The workshop lasts two hours. End the session with a delicious lunch or snack and a drink from the bar. Price from £17.50per person. All ingredients and utensils will be supplied, including aprons.
Brewery Tours and Beer Tasting: St Agnes’ historic Driftwood Spars runs its own micro-brewery and has recently won the prestigious ‘Campaign for Real Ale award for Supreme Winter Beer of Britain 2012′. Take a brewery tour learning about the art of brewing, flavours and ingredients followed by a tutored tasting. The tour takes about two hours. Prices from £15 per person.
Wine and Spirit Tasting: Learn about wine and spirits under the tutelage of Iain Hargreaves. Tasting will take about an hour and participants can expect to try about five wines. There is a wide choice of workshops. Price depending on wine/spirit selection from £25 – £35 per person.
